The Good Funeral Guild presents... Funeral Tuesdays - Creative Ceremonies

Join the Good Funeral Guild at Sutton House during Life. Death. Whatever. for Funeral Tuesdays.

On Tuesday 18th October we'll be hearing from some of the leading ceremonialists and celebrants in the UK including Tiu de Haan, Emma Curtis of Extraordinary Ceremonies, Isabel Russo from the British Humanist Association and The Revd Canon Dr Sandra Millar.

How can we create funeral ceremonies that are meaningful, relevant, personalised and do what a funeral needs to do - allow us to accept and acknowledge a death so we can begin to grieve?  Fran Hall from the Good Funeral Guide will also discuss the importance of choosing the right funeral director to create the right ceremony.

Whether you're a celebrant looking for fresh ideas, a funeral director wondering how to better serve the bereaved or a member of the public, you're all welcome.

Tea and cake will be available from the Tea Room.

About the Good Funeral Guild
The Good Funeral Guild is brought to you by the Good Funeral Guide - your trusted, independent, not-for-profit information resource for funeral advice.  The Guild is made up of people from the funeral service and many other disciplines, who believe that funerals can be done differently.

We know that you’re out there; we know that there are many of you. We get e-mails and phone calls daily from people like you who want funerals to be different.  Better.  More effective at what they are supposed to be for.

Some of you are working in the existing funeral industry. Some of you have created new businesses and are trying a different way of undertaking. Some of you are celebrants or ministers. Some of you are on the sidelines in other roles that funerals brush up against. Some of you are just interested in the whole fascinating world of death. We think that there should be a way of getting all of you together, with all your different viewpoints and voices, a way of uniting the myriad of individuals in one association with a common goal – to improve funerals for everyone.

The mission of the Good Funeral Guild is not to reflect change in funerary practices but to be the change.
